Ladies Retro Aprons

These ladies aprons are made and ready to be shipped.  They come from Moda, the manufacturer from whom we purchase many of our fabrics.  The 1950's look comes with two small pockets on the front.  There are long ties both at the sides and around the neck.  Made in 100% cotton prints in one size. Cute, fun and inexpensive!  If ordered with custom made items, we will ship all at once.

Ladies Pinafore

Our Ladies Pinafore is very similar to our Dawn's Pinafore for girls.  We've changed this one slightly in order to allow us to get it on and off very easily by using a large neck opening.  The bodice is slightly raised and fully lined.  It buttons in the back down to the end of the bodice.  The back skirt is open.  The pinafore is meant to fit fairly loosely and you are welcome to add back ties if you'd like to pull it in.  The skirt is cut to be about 30" long from the waist so that it covers most of your skirt but doesn't begin to get in the way or add much bulk.  We keep one in black and one in white hanging on a hook at all times, ready for whatever chore the day may bring. Give it a try in our solid poly/cotton poplin and you won't have to deal with ironing.

Plain Apron

This simple apron is called a "surplice" apron and is worn by ladies in both Amish and conservative Mennonite groups.  We can make this in any of our Tropical Breeze Poly/Cottons.  Sorry, our cottons are not wide enough for the way the skirt needs to be cut out.  The top crosses over the shoulders and ends in a triangle at the back.  The waistband extends around the back and fastens with one button at the side.  The skirt is pleated at the front and extends part way around the side for great coverage.  The sizing on this apron is a little different from our size chart.  Please see the sizes below to find your appropriate size.  Be careful...if your waist is much larger than 34", the XL will not fit.  Sewn by permission from a pattern by Friends Patterns.

This fun apron reminds us of diner aprons from the 50's.  It is available for both girls and ladies.  The bottom portion is very pretty with lace and the straps tie at the waist.  The upper straps button at the back of the neck.  Please choose a main fabric for the front and an accent fabric for the reverse side and ties.  If you are having trouble finding perfect matches, just pick the main fabric and we'll choose an appropriate accent fabric for you.  Sizing is based on bust/chest measurement as shown below.  Pattern used by permission from "The Paisley Pincushion."

I have a faint memory of my great aunt wearing an apron just like this, so I'll go ahead and name it after her.  The apron is nice and trim, wrapping around the front with buttons attaching at the back sides.  It is fully lined and has two patch pockets on the front that are large enough to actually be useful.  Please choose two coordinating colors.  If you are having trouble, just pick one and we will find a matching solid for you.  This apron is available in girls and ladies sizes, all the way up through 1X.  Please see chart below to choose the right size.  Pattern used by permission from "The Paisley Pincushion."

In traditional 19th century fashion, this half apron really is  "one-size fits all."  On girls the apron will extend around the back of their skirt, allowing them to safely sit in whatever they have just spilled on the floor.  On women, the skirt covers the front, just like the half aprons you are used to.  Beyond its practical kitchen use, it is perfect for almost any historical outfit.  Please give us the waist size of the girl or woman who will wear the apron most often.

In C37-A and C200-A

This simple apron is similar to those you can find in most kitchen stores. The ties come through a casing at the top, around the sides and are fully adjustable. While this apron is reversible, the pockets are only found on one side. Please choose a main fabric for the front and an accent fabric for the reverse side, ties and pockets. One size fits all. This full apron will completely protect your clothing. The lined bodice is gathered to the waistband and has one button on the back neck. The waistband turns into long ties to help you adjust the fit. The skirt is long and comes around to the middle in the back, just like a pinafore. Women's sizes are cut to be about 30" from the waist. You may request a longer skirt on women's aprons. Girls sizes are cut to be a couple inches shorter than their dress. While most ladies will keep this apron for working in the kitchen or outside, many moms use it as an everyday pinafore for their daughters. Sewn by license from a pattern by "The King's Daughters." A simple apron/pinafore for the younger set that buttons in back and is easy to get on and off.  The skirt is made from a single piece of fabric, which means that it isn't as full as the Full Apron above. 

Plain Canning Style Apron

The plain canning style apron pops over the head without ties and protects the dress from dirt and wear.  It comes with two pockets on the front. Sewn by permission from a pattern by Friends Patterns.
