Our baby dresses are meant to be used everyday, not just for special occasions.  We highly recommend our Tropical Breeze fabric for everyday dresses.  Little dresses can get stuck in the ironing pile for too long and with Tropical Breeze you can simply pull them from the line or dryer and throw them on. Tropical Breeze wears very well and is difficult to tear. 

That said...we love our little cotton dresses as well!  We trust that you will be able to hand down all your dresses from daughter to daughter.

Our dresses tend to be longer in length than most.  Because of their style, babies can wear them longer than store-bought dresses.  If you want a shorter dress, simply let us know when you order.

Custom Items

Baby Bib

These velcro fastened bibs protect the clothing of boys and girls alike. They can be worn by infants through preschoolers. Each is lined with either flannel or terry cloth in order to keep the bib from sliding around. We try to keep some in stock in our ready-made store but you may also custom order them to match a dress. Check our fabric page for some fabrics appropriate for boys.

Receiving Blanket

Each blanket is made with soft 100% cotton flannel. These are perfect for anytime you want a clean, soft surface for your baby to play on. Each is approximately 36" by 36". Check out the ready-made store or have one custom made in your choice of flannel.

Double Sided Receiving Blanket

This receiving blanket is made with a double layer of flannel. One side is a print and the other is a coordinating solid or subtle print. The double layer makes a very soft play area and also doubles as a light blanket for naps. Each is approximately 36" by 36" and the edges are finished with a decorative stitch. Check out the ready-made store or have one custom made in your choice of flannel.

Minkee Blanket

This just might be the softest blanket your child will ever own.  One side is made out of light blue minkee with raised dots.  The opposite side is done in your choice of flannel.  The edges can optionally be finished with a satiny blanket binding in blue.  This would make an excellent gift for a baby or toddler who is learning how to put themselves to sleep.  Each is approximately 31" by 37".

Baby Circle Dress

This little dress buttons at the shoulders and wraps around the back with an overlap.  Short bloomers are included.   A very sweet outfit for those hot and muggy summer days.  Approximate lengths of dress portion are listed in the chart below.

Toddler Pinafore

This little pinafore with a high bodice was specially created for moms who want a cover that's easy to get on and off.  The pinafore buttons down the back bodice and the deep armholes make the whole dressing process very simple.  There are no ties to deal with and this pinafore fits nicely over all our little girl dresses.  Although classically made in white, you are welcome to choose any of our fabrics.  Older girls sizes are available on the Girl's Custom Page.

Karen's Dress

A simple little dress with short puffed sleeves, and and a buttoned back bodice.  It closely matches Karen's Dress for girls and is  dressed up with a small lace collar. With long sleeves, this dress also works beautifully for special occasions in cooler weather.  Try one of our Tropical Breeze fabrics for a little dress that doesn't need ironing!  Matching short bloomers (diaper cover) are also available below.  Sewn by license from a pattern by "The King's Daughters."

Naomi's  Dress

A simple little dress with short puffed sleeves and a buttoned back bodice.  It's the quintessential baby dress and looks cute for everyday and for special occasions.  The short and long sleeves are finished with a small cuff and the neckline has a small peter pan collar.  Matching short bloomers are also available below.  This is a nice style for using a contrast color for the collar and cuffs.  Use one of the whites or coordinating fabrics and simply list it second in the fabric choice tab and check the $2 box below.  Sewn by license from a pattern by "The King's Daughters."

 Toddler Flannel Dress

This flannel dress comes with a high square yoke, long sleeves, a small peter pan collar and an optional ruffle on hem (as shown).  It makes a beautiful winter dress in flannel but may be ordered in any of our fabrics.  Please understand that none of our fabric meets federal standards for flame-retardant sleepwear and we cannot sell these dresses as nightgowns.  Design licensed from KWIK.SEW Pattern Co., Inc.

Carrie's Dress

A very sweet dress with lined front and back yokes. Puffed sleeves end in elastic gathers and dress buttons in back. Because of the high yokes, this dress fits for a longer time than most. Add long sleeves, a collar or lace on the bodice for a different look.

Baby Yoke Dress

The perfect dress for newborns through young toddlers. The round yoke with collar is roomy and while the dress does not look "big", its wide, long skirt means that babies won't grow out of this dress too soon. Puffed sleeves end in elastic gathers and dress buttons in back. Matching panties and bloomers can be found further down the page. The sizing on this dress is a bit different from others.  Please order by your child's weight and height.  Sewn by license from a pattern by "The King's Daughters."

Joanna's Dress

Here's a new high yoke dress with a round yoke.  The skirt hangs from the yoke without gathers and is cut to create a nice swing style skirt.  A round collar is included.  The short cap sleeves have gathers at the shoulder and are finished with a small hem.  The dress buttons all the way down the back.  In sizes 6/12/18/24 months the skirts are made with a single piece of fabric.  In sizes 3/4/5/6 the skirt will be made with gores in order to have enough fabric to create the swing skirt.  Sorry, side pockets are not available with this design.  You may choose this dress in one fabric or in a main fabric with a white collar.  We are still working on figuring out the finished lengths on all sizes, but it would appear that the finished lengths are a couple inches shorter than our size chart lengths.  Pattern used by permission from Bonnie Blue Designs.

Heather's Dress

Similar in style to our Girl's Basic Dress, this simple dress has short sleeves finished with an elastic gather. The bodice comes down to a natural waist and buttons in the back. It is finished with a simple neckline but you are welcome to add a small peter pan collar.  Matching short bloomers (diaper cover) are also available below. Baby Jumper and Pinafore

A baby jumper for little ones smaller than a size 2 that almost matches our girls and ladies button jumper. The only difference is that this jumper buttons in the back, allowing you to use it as a jumper or pinafore over a good dress. Sewn by license from a pattern by "The King's Daughters".

Nicole's Dress

A toddler dress just like Nicole's Dress for girls. It comes with a natural waist, puffed elbow-length sleeves with narrow cuffs, and a long, full skirt. It can be an everyday dress or a dressy, special occasion outfit when made in the right fabric. Basic dress comes with short banded sleeves (as shown) and no collar (Peter Pan collar shown). Ann's Baby/Toddler Dress

We think this little A-Line dress looks similar to the dresses worn by toddlers in the early 1900's. It buttons all the way down the back and comes with short, gathered sleeves. A small, white eyelet collar graces the neckline and you can choose between round or square eyelet pockets on the front. It comes about 2" shorter than our other dresses. Lisa's Dress

A very sweet and dressy outfit for babies and toddlers. This dress  comes with a contrasting collar, armbands, and hem accent. It buttons in the back. We recommend you choose a small print for the dress and a larger print for the accents. If you are having trouble choosing an accent color, white is always pretty, or you may just choose the dress color and we will select an appropriate contrast color for you. Kelly's Jumper

Another baby jumper which matches our Girl's Kelly's Jumper. The lined bodice buttons on the shoulder straps and the skirt is gathered at the waist.

Baby Panties and Bloomers

Just like our bloomers for girls and ladies, these undergarments are almost essential for babies. Bloomers are long, like the matching girls item. Panties are shorter and act more like a diaper cover (panties shown.) They will be made in white muslin unless you specify another color. We like matching bloomers or panties to go with new dresses. Eyelet Panties and Bloomers

Sometimes we have wanted panties and bloomers that are a bit "fancier" than our regular bloomers, so we created these.  They are made out of high quality muslin.   Eyelet lace graces the hem of the legs and they fit exactly like our regular bloomers.  Panties are short and come to about mid-thigh.  Bloomers generally hit below the knee.  Eyelet Panties/Bloomers will be sewn in muslin unless you specify another fabric. Pleas see Underclothing page for little girls size 2 and larger.  Sewn by license from a pattern by "The King's Daughters".

Baby/Toddler Slip

A close match with our girls/ladies slips, this full slip adds warmth or helps to cover when wearing a light colored dress.  You are welcome to tell us the approximate length you would like in order  to make sure that it isn't too short or long.  Slips are made in white or natural muslin or white poly/cotton broadcloth. Please state preference. For any other fabric, add $2.
