Below you will find linen blends perfect for ladies dresses, jumpers, blouses and skirts.  We are trying two different blends.  The first is a 55% Linen, 45% Rayon blend which drapes beautifully.  The second is a 55% Linen, 45% Cotton blend for those who prefer the natural feel of cotton and linen.  Both are a bit heavier than our regular cottons at about 6 oz per square yard and are high quality products by Robert Kaufman.  The manufacturer recommends washing these in cold water on delicate cycle and hanging to dry.  If washed in warm/hot water and put in the dryer, they will shrink a little.  You may also dry clean these fabrics.

Our cotton velveteen is heavy, warm and makes beautiful special occasion dresses.  It weighs in at 6.6 oz per square yard and is our heaviest fabric.  Please be aware that not all styles are going to work well in velveteen because of it's weight.  If you are unsure about a garment, please go ahead and send us an e-mail.

We usually associate flannel with women's nightwear, but don't be afraid to try a flannel dress.  They're nice and warm on chilly winter days for babies, girls and women.  We are sorry, but our flannel does not meet federal regulations for flame retardant fabric required for children's nightwear. Flannels are about 5oz per square yard.
