Cotton Flannel

Our flannels are extra cozy and perfect for cooler weather. The flannels come in at 4-6 ounces per square yard and vary based on the manufacturer. The lighter weight solids are best for underclothing but I try to stock heavier weight solids whenever I can find them for those who would like solid colored nightgowns. Flannels are normally used for nightwear but you are welcome to try them for winter dresses and skirts, keeping in mind that they are too bulky for designs with zippers or collars.

Flannels have an extra soft feel and can come single brushed or double brushed. The heaviest flannels from quilting suppliers are often single brushed on the outside only but are quite warm and of the highest possible quality. I also carry flannels that are slightly lighter in weight but extra cozy because they are double brushed and have that extra soft feel on the inside and outside. Many of our fun larger prints are double brushed.

Please note that while I am happy to make children's loungewear for families that do not want their children wearing fabrics that have been treated with chemicals, our fabrics are not treated with flame retardant and do not meet federal requirements for children's nightwear. We represent the fabrics as accurately as possible but each screen will show size and color slightly differently.
