I have been making this skirt for myself for a number of years and have never taken the time to get it online and offer it to you. It's one of the skirts I choose in the summer for a day out on the weekend. It has a simple wide A-Line shape with a cut to fit waistband that closes at the side with a zipper. It's very slimming and contemporary looking. You will want to choose two fabrics for this design. The first fabric will be used for the waist and main body of the skirt. The second will be used for the wide band at the bottom of the skirt. If you'd prefer the skirt in all one fabric, simply put the same fabric choice down in both boxes and we will cut you a longer skirt without the band. The finished length is about 33"-35". The length on this skirt isn't adjustable simply because of the way the pieces are cut out. Because this closes with a zipper, I'd recommend choosing from our lighter matching cottons as zippers and heavier fabrics don't always play well together. Let me know if you need help matching fabrics.
To order the right size, take your waist measurement where you will want the skirt to sit. A skirt with a zipper (no elastic) can sit at the natural waist or a bit below, depending on your preference. The chart below will give you sizes as well as the finished waist measurement of the skirt. Choose the size that will fit your waist and don't size down or the zipper won't close comfortably.
